Alderford Lake

Alderford lake was undergoing a complete rebranding and development process. Formally known as Dearnford Lake they had a website on another platform that was out of date and in need of some attention.

Our focus was to take their new branding materials, images and content and create the perfect website. We hand picked a premium template that we thought would be perfect, then adapted the colours to match their new branding. We took their new content and worked it in to new layouts and made it flow. We also selected their best images and added them in the most suitable places on the website. While subtle, there is a small ecommerce sitting in the backend that can take subscriptions to the lake. This is powered by Woocommerce. Lastly the most important bit was changing over the domain while maintaining all the existing traffic. We integrated SEO redirects so that people would still find the website from Google despite the revamp.

While the main focus of the website is to advertise the many different arms of the business, it is also used to advertise events. We used the blog section of the website to allow them to easily add and manage upcoming events. We also integrated the Twitter widget so they could use that for all the latest news.

As with all our WordPress websites, after setup they are easily able to maintain it from the admin section. It is also fully responsive across screens and devices.
