Paint Samples is an ecommerce website built on one of the standard Woocommerce themes, ‘mystile’. While this website doesn’t differ too much from the demo, we did make a few tweaks. We enabled advertising on the website to earn pay per click, and designed a patchwork header that used most of the paint colours they listed on the website. One of the other features our client wanted was affiliate marketing. We added in the plugin for this, set it up and helped to load affiliate banners and content. We also setup the navigation so that it is easy for affiliates to signup.

While this website theme was quick to setup, it did require the input of over 100 products. Rather than enter these manually one by one we produced a spreadsheet product list and imported them all in less than an hour. This is one of the most powerful ecommerce systems and has many desirable features. For people wanting to get setup online with a minimal cost, in most cases we can run imports that reduce the hours that have to be spent adding content like products or blog posts. In this case we still had a lot of work to do creating all of the images from examples on the Farrow and Ball website. But having that head start really works wonders.

While importing the content we were able to structure it to make it SEO optimised. As a result of this the titles and meta are setup so that they can easily be read and indexed by Google. To make this even more effective we assisted with backlink building to push the Paint Samples website high in Google for their selected keywords. As a result of this the website ranks highly in serps and generates a lot of organic traffic.
